Billing
Bunkhouse is billed as a monthly subscription plus usage. Assistant usage is paid from credit: first the credit included with your subscription, then credit you buy. Manage everything from Billing in the dashboard.
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Subscription | $49 per month |
| Included usage credit | $20 per paid billing period |
| Input tokens | $1 per million |
| Output tokens | $3 per million |
How many requests $20 covers depends on your pages and conversations, so there is no fixed token or request allowance.
Included credit
Section titled “Included credit”Each paid subscription invoice adds $20 of included credit for that invoice’s billing period.
- Included credit is used first, before purchased credit.
- It expires at the end of its billing period. Unused included credit does not roll over to the next period.
- Any refund of a subscription payment, partial or full, revokes the remaining included credit for that period. Usage already charged against it is not reversed.
- Credit appears only after Stripe confirms the payment, not when you return from checkout. The Billing page refreshes until it appears.
Purchased credit
Section titled “Purchased credit”While your subscription is active you can top up with purchased credit from Billing. A top-up is optional: a new subscription starts with its included credit.
- Purchased credit is separate from included credit and does not expire at the end of a billing period.
- It is kept if you cancel, but spending it requires an active subscription.
- Billing shows purchased credit history separately from included credit.
Holds and settlement
Section titled “Holds and settlement”Before each model call, Bunkhouse places a hold for the most that call can cost, taken from included credit first and then purchased credit. When the call finishes, it is charged for the tokens actually used and the rest of the hold is released.
- If the outcome of a call is uncertain, for example after a network failure, its hold stays pending until usage is reconciled, then it is settled or released.
- A call settles against the credit it was held on, even if its billing period has since ended. Released included credit from an ended period does not move to the new one.
- Billing shows spendable credit, included credit (available, used, held, and when it expires) and purchased credit (available, held, balance).
When credit runs out
Section titled “When credit runs out”A request is refused before any model call if the remaining spendable credit cannot cover its hold. The assistant then reports that credit is insufficient; top up, or wait for the next period’s included credit. Requests are also refused while the subscription is inactive, while a payment is disputed, or if the purchased balance is negative.
Anonymous sessions are additionally limited by the per-site monthly limits you set when enabling anonymous access.
Usage by user
Section titled “Usage by user”Signed sessions carry your application’s user ID, so the dashboard’s Usage by user report shows usage, spend and tasks per user. Anonymous usage is reported separately. Model providers receive only a pseudonym of the user ID. See User IDs.
Agent trials
Section titled “Agent trials”Agent trials are free: the coding agent running the trial supplies the model, so trial turns use no credit and need no subscription.
